Last Chance to Apply for ASNE Scholarships for 2012-2013. Deadline Extended to March 2, 2012. The American Society of Naval Engineers began its Scholarship Program in 1979 in order to promote the profession of naval engineering and to encourage college students to enter the field. Applications for scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year are being accepted through March 2, 2012. A combination of undergraduate scholarships ($3,000 per year) and graduate scholarships ($4,000 per year) will be awarded for the 2012-2013 academic year. Along with the completed application, students must provide a transcript and three letters of recommendation.
